Our products are NOT mass produced. They are all small batch, handcrafted by Mama Sha' and Mr. Kelly.
This means all of our items are made to order.
We ask that you allow us 10 - 14 business days to get your items ready to ship.
Our shop is generally closed on Saturday and Sunday.
We are one of the few shops that makes nearly every item by hand - we DO NOT buy wholesale from places like Azure Green, etc - we make your product.
When an order is received, it isn't filled right away, unless the customer has purchased a 'RUSH' option.
Generally speaking, orders from last week are what we are working on this week. If you place an order on Thursday of this week, we don't begin working on your order until early the following week. This is because every thing we make is made to order.
On average, we run about 8-10 days out (normally) on our shipping times. But sometimes, if we get an influx of orders, we get very busy and it takes longer to get your orders filled.
--> If you need your order quickly, we do have an expedite/rush service. Depending upon the size of your order, as well as the items purchased, we may be able to speed up the process of getting your items to you. You will need to purchase the RUSH ORDER option at checkout, then follow the instructions in the RUSH Order listing.

While we make large batches of oils at a single time, they are not individually bottled until your order is placed.
This allows the oils extra time with the original herbals and botanicals - to become as potent and powerful, as possible.
Also, please keep in mind - the stock photos you see on the website are of the first approved sample. The bottle you get will have all the relevant ingredients and the exact same blend - but the overall look/appearance may be slightly different.
The same can be said for our candles.
Candles are not poured until an order is placed.
Candles must be dipped, rolled or poured and then require time to cure.
All candles are then cleaned and blessed, by Miss Sha'.
Then off to Mr. Kelly - who does the packaging.
Most of our customers agree, our items are worth the wait!
We love offering coupon codes, especially when we know that they are appreciated and valued. That being said, we usually offer coupons by posting about them on our social media pages and often via emails that we send out to our subscribers.
We do try to give plenty of notice of any sale we are currently offering. And repeat customers always have a standing coupon!
Coupons MUST be used at the time of checkout.
Sorry, but this is something we cannot compromise on.
Most banking facilities now charge non-refundable fees for any transactions, including refunds. So if you miss a coupon and reach out and ask us to honor it and we do - we refund your $$, but we are also paying additional fees that we wouldn't have had to pay, if we didn't give a refund transaction.
Believe us, it's these small fees that add up and hurt small businesses.
So, if you miss a coupon, please try to refrain from haggling over it - or at least offer to pay those fees. Or just simply wait until the next coupon comes along and take advantage.
It's the small things, like this, that truly make the difference for small businesses and they will appreciate you for it!

Once your item is ready to ship, you will receive an email with a link to the shipping confirmation. If you did not receive an order confirmation after you placed your order, please be sure to check your spam folders.
Same with shipping confirmations!
Also - once the box leaves our hands and enters into the United States Postal Service rat race, we are at their mercy.
I cannot even attempt to locate your package until it "stalls" somewhere, for multiple days.
In addition, COVID changed so much about how businesses ship and deal with shipping. Most shipping services guarantee very little nowadays and transit times are extended considerably.
There is nothing we can do about this.
You stand a better chance of providing your local post office (the office, NOT your delivery person) with the tracking and let them hunt for it. I have no control over where it goes or how quickly it moves, once it leaves Mooringsport, LA.
Some countries, we have difficulty shipping to at this time:
If you live in any of these countries, you run the risk of your products being returned to us, even using DHL.
So be advised - if items are returned to us, the product charges will be refunded, but the shipping fees will not.
Also, it is the BUYERS responsibility to find out if items they are ordering are allowed to be shipped into their country. We cannot do that for you. So if you order items that are not allowed within your country, we will not be held responsible for the shipping fees if they are returned to us.
Please check with your CUSTOMS Department before purchasing any OILS or POWDERS.
International buyers - we highly recommend you select International Priority Shipping or UPS Shipping.
Basic USPS can take weeks to arrive and there is no possible way to track the package.
Priority can be more expensive, but a claim can be filed if your package is lost.
In addition, once your box leaves the United States, I can no longer track it.
Also, be sure to confirm your shipping address with PayPal or your credit card company - once your item is shipped, I cannot change the address.
We WILL NOT declare your box a 'gift' - or less than the actual value.
Companies and shop owners that do this, are actually breaking Federal laws. If they are caught, you, as well as the shop owner, are subject to large fines.
We can also be banned from shipping into your country if we falsely declare values of items.
So, please, give us the proper respect and do not ask us.
We apologize that US shipping to overseas countries is so expensive. But that is the agreement between your country and the US - we have no control over that.
We also do not make any money on shipping, so we do try to refund any excess back to the customer.
We are also NOT responsible for the duties and tariffs that your country charges when your box arrives.
If you choose to refuse the package, and it is returned to us, we will provide a partial refund.
We will refund ONLY regularly stocked items.
Custom made or loaded/dressed items will NOT be refunded.
And shipping will NOT be refunded.
In order to obtain a refund, you will need to reach out to us when you refuse the shipment and let us know. You will not receive your refund until after the items arrive back to us here in the US.
If your package arrives damaged, please immediately take photos and send them to Mama Sha' at info@inexplicablethings.com
Do not destroy the evidence of damage, nor dispose of the box.
The postal service is now requiring Mama Sha' to file claims on any damages incurred.
They are also requiring physical evidence to prove the claim - meaning that you may be asked to take the box in to your local post office for them to examine. If this happens, Mama Sha' will provide a claim number for you.
If you are not willing to take the box in, or fail to do so after telling Mama Sha' that you will - then the claim may not be processed.
In return, your items may not be replaced.
Refunds are handled on a case by case basis.
When a customer purchases something online, they enter into an agreement with the shop owner. The agreement is that they pay for the goods and shipping. The owner of the shop agrees to make, package and ship the product.
Once we provide you with a shipping confirmation, that concludes the shop owner's portion of the agreement.
Many people seem to think that just because a package fails to arrive, that the shop owner should ship a replacement package. Why?
The shop owner provided proof that the items were produced, packaged and shipped. They should NOT be held responsible for Postal Services' mishandling of a shipment.
If a package is not delivered, or scanned and delivered, but you cannot locate it - reach out to Mama Sha' and then IMMEDIATELY contact your local post office. Many times items are mis-scanned, a neighbor picks them up, or you simply cannot see them. You will need to speak DIRECTLY to your local carrier.
If you are unwilling to do this, then do not expect a replacement from Mama Sha'. You will need to do your part.
That being said, Inexplicable Things will meet you half way. If after several days, the post office is unable to locate your package, are we are unable to file a claim - We will provide you with 50% off a duplicate order (the exact same items), but you are responsible for 50% + shipping.
If an item is missing or damaged during transit, and if you purchased Priority shipping, please let Mama Sha' know immediately, as well as provide her with photos so she can file a claim. Again, you may be asked to show proof of this at your local post office. She will then replace the items lost or damaged.
Remember, If you opt for First Class, she will be unable to file a claim. Again, we always recommend you opt for Priority Shipping.
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
